Apply as a volunteer peer tutor to gain co-curricular recognition credit and develop professional skills like time management, communication, and problem-solving.

As a peer tutor, you:

  • provide support to up to two tutees simultaneously by answering questions, explaining course concepts in a new way, and providing strategies to succeed
  • refer students to other on-campus resources
  • do not teach new class material
  • do not complete course assignments or quizzes for your tutee.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
